Which is better mechanical or fixed broadheads?

They both have their place and everyone has their opinion on which to go with. It’s hard to beat the accuracy of a mechanical or expandable broadhead. With a mechanical broadhead you generally get a bigger cutting diameter as well but they offer less penetration than a fixed blade. If you are hunting bigger animals and need that extra penetration, then you should opt for a fixed blade. How heavy of a broadhead should I shoot?

This is really up to the shooter and what they are hunting. Are crossbow broadheads different than compound bow broadheads?

We always recommend inspecting your broadheads thoroughly after shooting them to ensure they are still spinning with out any wobble and there are no cracks in the blade or ferrule.
